Last year, when Ekta and Bhavika were in Class 6, they were hesitant to participate in computer and digital literacy sessions. They were afraid to even operate a computer and often believed they weren’t as capable as the older students in their school.
But this year, things changed.
With the knowledge they had gained last year and the foundation laid at the start of this academic session, both girls stepped forward with confidence. On their own, they created two impressive projects — Ekta developed a Smart Army Entrance Station, while Bhavika built a Smart Door Lock System. These ideas focused on improving safety in army areas and for elderly people at home.
A few days later, the girls asked if there was any opportunity to showcase their work. Fortunately, an event organized by the Swaavlamban Sanstha was happening in Jodhpur — aimed at bringing together young innovators and early-stage startups.
At the event, Ekta and Bhavika proudly presented their models, confidently explaining how their projects work and the potential they hold. They spoke on stage for the first time and amazed the audience. Impressed by their creativity and clarity, one of the guests at the event awarded them ₹10,000 as financial support to help them develop their models further.
This moment was life-changing.
It was the first time both girls had created something of their own — and the first time they were appreciated on such a big platform. Their confidence skyrocketed. When they returned to school, they were greeted with applause from fellow students and were honored by the principal in a school assembly.
Since then, Ekta and Bhavika have become even more motivated. They are now working on more projects and actively encouraging their classmates to join them. Their journey — from being unsure and afraid to becoming young creators and role models — is now inspiring many others to dream bigger and believe in themselves.
