The girls from Class V would often wander through the corridor just to talk to me and ask about computers. I would gently tell them, “When you reach Class VI, you’ll also get the chance to learn.”
At first, I was surprised—how did these younger girls even know who I was? Later, I discovered the reason: their elder sisters, who were in the higher grades, were already part of my computer classes. It turns out these sisters would talk at home or in school about what they were learning, which sparked excitement in the younger ones too.
During breaks, when no one else was around, two girls—Ayesha (Jeenat’s younger sister, Class VII) and Laxmi (Sadhna’s younger sister, Class VII)—would quietly come to me and whisper, “Ma’am, please teach us too.”
Little by little, these two started bringing their whole class to the computer lab. By the time the year ended, not only was the entire Class V asking to learn computers—but even some girls from Class IV had started asking the same thing!
Now, whenever I see them, they excitedly remind me, “Ma’am, we’re in Class VI now—please teach us computers!”
